Job summary

Sampoorna Consultants is seeking a Finance Analyst to support budgeting, forecasting, and comprehensive financial reporting across geographies. The role emphasizes dashboards, KPI tracking, and data-driven insights to guide business decisions.

Ideal candidates will have CA/MBA/Commerce qualifications with ERP/FP&A experience and hands-on Power BI, Python, SQL, and Excel skills. This position offers opportunities to work across locations and implement AI-driven enhancements.

Qualifications

• CA / MBA Finance / M.com / B.com degree in business / related field / equivalent work experience, Required
• Big four articleship experience will be added advantage
• Work experience of using ERP, Financial reporting systems will be added advantage
• Experience in Retail FP&A supporting large-scale multi-location, multi-store, multi-country, or cross-border business operations, with exposure to global stakeholders and complex organizational structures, will be an added advantage
• Working knowledge of Power BI for dashboard development, business analytics, and visualization will be an added advantage
• Experience leveraging Finance AI, Generative AI, Copilot, and intelligent automation tools to improve reporting, forecasting, financial analysis, and decision-making will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of Python, SQL and/or other data analytics tools for finance reporting, data analytics, workflow automation, and process optimization will be an added advantage
• Strong Excel and data-handling skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic financial modelling)

Responsibilities

• 1. Support the preparation and maintenance of budgets and forecasts
• 2. Support finance transformation initiatives, process standardization, and continuous improvement projects across multiple geographies and business units.
• 3. Perform monthly variance analysis (actuals vs. budget/forecast) with clear, structured explanations
• 4. Prepare monthly MIS reports, dashboards, and KPIs for management review
• 5. Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, cost drivers, and performance gaps
• 6. Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support business and operational decisions
• 7. Support finance business partners by providing timely, well-structured financial inputs
• 8. Support financial planning, forecasting, and performance management across multiple locations, stores, business units, or countries.
• 9. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and self-service reporting solutions to provide actionable business insights.
• 10. Leverage AI, Generative AI, and automation technologies to enhance financial reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and decision support processes.
• 11. Utilize SQL, Python, VBA, and other analytical tools to automate reporting processes, improve data accuracy, and reduce manual effort
