The Finance Policy Group is a centralised group within the Finance Department, bringing together Regulatory, Liquidity and Accounting policy SMEs into a single centralised team to provide synergies and consistency across Accounting, Regulatory and Liquidity policy topic areas.
Corporate Title: VP | Functional Title: VP | Experience: 10-15 years | Qualification: CA / CFA / MBA in Finance (FRM is a plus)
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team with a wide array of responsibilities and immediate opportunities to make an impact on senior stakeholders. The role will include current and future policy interpretation, analysis and documentation focusing on Accounting topics under US GAAP, IFRS and Local GAAP impacting Nomura entities. The individual will be responsible for assessing the requirements related to these areas, liaising with the financial and regulatory reporting teams, business areas, Finance and other Corporate functions to manage the internal life cycle of accounting and regulatory change. This is primarily an Accounting policy role, however with the growing regulatory change agenda, there is an opportunity to also be involved in developing the Firm’s thinking and approach to implementing constantly evolving regulatory requirements.
