Job summary

Honeywell invites applications for a service engineering role in Mumbai. You will lead a team to schedule and perform periodic maintenance under service contracts, attend to spot calls, and develop site documentation in line with supervisor guidance.

The role covers project supervision, cost estimation support, and sales support for maintenance or retrofit works, with travel to customer sites kingdom-wide and strict adherence to Honeywell SOPs and HSE requirements.

Qualifications

• Engineering graduates or diploma holders with 4+ years of relevant experience in Building Automation.
• Expert knowledge in BMS, FAS, EBI and Honeywell systems; CCTV, DVM, access control and IDS experience is a plus.
• Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Good knowledge of servers, virtual machines and networking.
• Willing to travel across customer sites and interact with customers.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and lead a team; strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safety and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, technicians, vendors and resources to perform periodic maintenance on service contracts and respond to spot calls.
• Plan and schedule maintenance, develop and maintain site-specific documentation and QA information.
• Supervise field installations and commissioning in service projects and reactive work.
• Propose small work quotations, determine equipment needs and inform relevant stakeholders.
• Support project cost and progress reporting and assist on technical requirements for maintenance or retrofit sites.
• Assist project managers to execute projects on time and within budget; provide customer awareness of system amendments.
• Adhere to Honeywell SOPs and HSE policies; provide technical support and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Ability to schedule and plan periodic maintenance service on service contract requirement.
• To lead a team of Engineers, Technicians, Vendors and other available resources to perform the periodic maintenance service and attend to customer’s spot call.
• Development and maintenance of site-specific documentation and quality assurance information as instructed by Supervisor.
• Availability for and performance of duties outside of normal working hours as per agreed SLA and commitment given to Customers and as directed
• To maintain and establish a good working relationship with the customer.

Responsibilities

• To do project management for alteration, additions or retrofit works on service site.
• Supervision of field installations and commissioning in Service projects/Quoted reactive work
• Create new sales opportunities during the application of the project/service
• To propose small work quotation for customer and carried out the proposed work on acceptance.
• Determine equipment and accessory needs for implementation and inform FSL or FSS in time
• Support FSS or FSL for project cost and progress reporting
• To support sales on technical requirement of maintenance or retrofit sites, and including basic costing of job.
• Estimate materials costs and quantities provide the information to the FSS or FSL, and Service Sales.
• To assist project manager on big scale project to execute the project smoothly, on-time and on budget.
• The engineer needs to provide the customer with an awareness of system amendments to meet his requirements and there by leverage sales and new Honeywell sales initiatives.
• Assist FSS or FSL to achieve service matrix and regional AOP targets.
• Adhere strictly to the Honeywell SOPs, Honeywell HSE policy and requirements in all activities.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications

• Engineering Graduates/Diploma holders with 4+ years of relevant experience and passion for Building Automation
• Expert level of knowledge and experience in BMS, FAS, EBI and other Honeywell systems like Security system knowledge such as CCTV, DVM, Honeywell access control and Honeywell Intrusion Detection System will be an added advantage.
• Strong fault finding and trouble shooting skills.
• Good Knowledge of Servers Class Machines, Virtual Machines, Networking.
• A good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to travel to customer sites kingdom-wide
• Ability to interact and build relationships with customers.
• Ability to acquire and demonstrate trade skills and/or product knowledge to meet the requirements of the role.
• Ability to apply knowledge and understanding of Honeywell products to develop solutions that meet customer’s requirements.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision and direct contractors or other service technicians.
• Ability to manage group of team members to Exceed both Honeywell and customer expectation.
• Good communication both written and verbal.
• The ability to work under pressure.
• Strong commitment to safety and safe working environment.
• Local language proficiency would be an added advantage
• Valid driving License would be an added advantage
