Job summary

ideaForge is seeking a field-service technician to perform calibration, troubleshooting and software updates on UAV hardware. The role involves desoldering/soldering, debugging UAV assemblies, and following OEM work instructions for sub-systems and the complete system.

The candidate should handle electrical/mechanical test equipment, maintain tooling records, and be ready to travel nationwide. DGCA pilot certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Hands on experience on manual calibration, online troubleshooting and software Updating in hardware components.
• Work experience on doing de-soldering, soldering operation of electronic components and circuit boards.
• Able to do the debug activities in UAV assembly with basic checks and circuit tracing activity.
• Maintain & follow Work Instruction sheet provided by the OEM for the sub-systems and complete system.
• Execute the service plan effectively
• Knowledge on handling electrical/mechanical test equipment
• Knowledge on safe handling practice for electronic handling, ESD safety, etc.
• Ability to perform crimping and soldering.
• Maintain the record of all the tooling/equipment’s and stock of spares at Service Centre
• Ready to travel all over India as and when required
• DGCA Certified pilot will be an added advantage

Responsibilities

• Follow OEM Work Instruction sheets for sub-systems and total system.
• Execute the service plan effectively.
• Handle electrical and mechanical test equipment.
• Maintain safe handling practices including ESD safety.
• Perform crimping and soldering as required.
• Keep records of tooling/equipment and spare stock at the Service Centre.
• Willingness to travel across India as required.
• DGCA certified pilot credentials are a plus.
