Job summary

Hi-Tech is seeking FIELD SERVICE ENGINEERS to join our team in Kolkata. The role involves extensive travel for surveys, installation, commissioning, and servicing of boiler instruments across sites.

You will supervise on-site teams and ensure timely E&C completion while building strong customer relationships. Qualifications include B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, with experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, and AMC.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong technical background with experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repairs, and after-market sales (including AMC).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and product manuals.
• Good English communication skills; smart and presentable.
• Candidates with an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) background will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Extensive travel required (approximately 15-20 days per month) to various sites for pre- and post-order site surveys, installation, commissioning, and servicing of large thermal power plant boiler instruments, including wired and wireless devices.
• Supervise site personnel during installation and servicing activities and ensure timely completion of all E&C activities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure smooth project execution.
• Handle back-office activities such as offer preparation, customer follow-ups for timely payments, and coordination with branches.
