Qualifications

• RCI Registered Special Educator.
• 2–3 years in community mobilisation, education or social work.
• Proficiency in Hindi and English; local dialects preferred.
• Strong ability to mobilise communities and raise awareness.
• Comfortable with data collection, entry and simple reporting (Google Forms, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Identify out-of-school CwSN and facilitate enrolment in nearby schools.
• Conduct home visits, interact with families, and counsel on education benefits.
• Support awareness drives, enrolment campaigns, and inclusive community meetings.
• Maintain follow-up records of enrolled children; coordinate with teachers for attendance.
• Submit weekly and monthly reports with supporting evidence (photos, attendance).
• Mobilise teachers for training sessions at cluster or block level and track attendance/feedback.
• Follow up post-training to observe adoption of inclusive practices in classrooms.
• Support distribution of accessible learning materials and connect families to schemes.

For the past 20 years, it has worked to ensure that every child learns and every adult earns, providing education, vocational training, and economic opportunities for the educable and trainable special needs population across India. This role sits within Sol's ARC's Inclusive Education Project in Karchana, Prayagraj, working directly with schools, families, and communities to identify and support children with special needs.

Role

A field-intensive role serving as the key on-ground representative of Sol's ARC's Inclusive Education Project, responsible for community mobilisation, school-level coordination, data collection, and follow-up with teachers and families of children with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Identify out-of-school CwSN and facilitate their enrolment in nearby schools
• Conduct home visits, interact with families, and counsel them on the benefits of education
• Support awareness drives, enrolment campaigns, and inclusive community meetings
• Maintain follow-up records of enrolled children and coordinate with teachers for regular attendance
• Conduct surveys, assessments, and field verification using standard formats
• Maintain data registers and update trackers in coordination with the District Coordinator
• Submit weekly and monthly reports with supporting evidence (photos, attendance, acknowledgments)
• Mobilise teachers for training sessions at cluster or block level and maintain attendance/feedback records
• Follow up post-training to observe adoption of inclusive practices in classrooms
• Support distribution of accessible learning materials to identified
• Help families connect to government schemes and track follow-ups
• Capture success stories and case studies with photos/testimonials for newsletters and reports

Requirements

• RCI Registered Special Educator
• 2-3 years of experience in community mobilisation, education, or social work
• Proficiency in Hindi and English (local dialects preferred)
• Demonstrable proficiency in community mobilisation and awareness generation
• Comfortable with data collection, entry, and simple reporting (Google Forms, Excel)
• Experience coordinating school-level activities and teacher mobilisation
• Effective communication skills across stakeholders
• Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms), WhatsApp, and basic teleconferencing apps
• Supportive supervision and mentoring from the District Coordinator
