Job summary

Worley is seeking a Field Engineer III to work with our project teams on construction activities at client sites in India. You will review drawings, coordinate schedules, ensure safety, and support quality control to deliver projects on time.

The role requires experience in construction, familiarity with standards (IS, ASME), and strong collaboration with planners and contractors. You will document inspections, participate in audits, and help certify measurements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of quality control and safe ways of working for construction activities.
• Experience with standards like Indian Standards and ASME for the discipline.
• Graduate or Diploma in Engineering in the respective discipline.

Responsibilities

• Review the Issued for Construction drawings and seek clarifications as needed.
• Collaborate with Planning Engineer to develop construction schedules.
• Understand contract requirements for the respective discipline.
• Assist in review/approval of Quality Plan and ITP of contractors.
• Coordinate with Contractors for detailed schedules and resources.
• Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plans (if applicable).
• Supervise safety to maintain a safe workplace and inspect contractor activities.
• Inspect works and maintain necessary documentation for inspections.
• Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
• Track progress vs. approved schedule and notify deficiencies.
• Review and certify contractor interim and final measurement records.
• Coordinate submission of As Built markups and review them.

The Role

As a Field Engineer III with Worley,you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Review the ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings. Request for clarifications, if required, as perestablished procedure of the project site
• Collaborate with the Planning Engineer/Team at project site for developing the construction schedule for the respective discipline.
• Understand the requirements specified in the contract agreement of the contractors for respective discipline.
• Assist in review/approval of the Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan of the contractors.
• Collaborate with the contractors for development of the detailed construction schedule/review the construction schedule, resource status submitted by contractors.
• Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plan (if applicable)
• Supervise for safety to maintain a safe workplace. Carry out inspections of activities performed by the contractors to confirm compliance to Field HSE Specification
• Carry out stage wise inspection of works performed by the contractor based on the approved quality plan and maintain necessary documentation for the inspections performed.
• Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
• Maintain status of front availability and monitor work progress as compared to the approved schedule and highlight deficiencies to the contractor through formal communications.
• Participate in review meetings with Contractors, if required
• Review and certify the interim and final measurement records submitted by the contractors.
• Coordinate with the Contractors for submission of ‘As Built’ mark ups and review of the same

About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

• Knowledge of quality control, safe ways of working, resource requirement, sequence of activities, and supervision of construction activities for the respective discipline. Aware of the requirements of various applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME etc.) for the respective discipline
• Minimum 7 years of experience for Graduate Engineers/10 years of experience for Diploma Engineers. Experience of working in Oil & Gas Sector and Chemicals
• Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Graduate in Engineering/Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline
• Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities for the respective discipline
• Proficient in MS Office
• Team Player, interpersonal skills
• Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity
