Job summary

Worley is seeking a Field Engineer III to join our site team in Mumbai, delivering construction activities on live projects in the oil and gas sector.

You will review drawings, develop schedules with Planning Engineer, ensure compliance with contracts, quality plans and ITPs, supervise safety, and coordinate with contractors to track progress.

The role requires 7+ years’ graduate or 10+ years’ diploma experience in oil & gas and chemicals, with proficiency in MS Office and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years experience for graduates; 10+ years for diploma engineers.
• Experience in oil & gas sector and chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Review Issued for Construction drawings and request clarifications as per project procedures.
• Collaborate with Planning Engineer to develop construction schedule for the respective discipline.
• Understand contract requirements for the respective discipline.
• Assist in review/approval of Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
• Coordinate with contractors for development and review of detailed construction schedules and resource status.
• Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plans (if applicable).
• Supervise safety to maintain a safe workplace and inspect contractor activities for HSE compliance.
• Maintain front status and monitor progress against approved schedule; flag deficiencies to contractors.
• Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits; assist in meetings with Contractors.

The Role

As a Field Engineer III with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

• Review the ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings. Request for clarifications, if required, as per established procedure of the project site.
• Collaborate with the Planning Engineer/Team at project site for developing the construction schedule for the respective discipline.
• Understand the requirements specified in the contract agreement of the contractors for respective discipline.
• Assist in review/approval of the Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan of the contractors.
• Collaborate with the contractors for development of the detailed construction schedule/review the construction schedule, resource status submitted by contractors.
• Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plan (if applicable).
• Supervise for safety to maintain a safe workplace. Carry out inspections of activities performed by the contractors to confirm compliance to Field HSE Specification.
• Carry out stage wise inspection of works performed by the contractor based on the approved quality plan and maintain necessary documentation for the inspections performed.
• Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
• Maintain status of front availability and monitor work progress as compared to the approved schedule and highlight deficiencies to the contractor through formal communications.
• Participate in review meetings with Contractors, if required.
• Review and certify the interim and final measurement records submitted by the contractors.
• Coordinate with the Contractors for submission of ‘As Built’ mark ups and review of the same.

About You

• Knowledge of quality control, safe ways of working, resource requirement, sequence of activities, and supervision of construction activities for the respective discipline. Aware of the requirements of various applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME etc.) for the respective discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of experience for Graduate Engineers/10 years of experience for Diploma Engineers. Experience of working in Oil & Gas Sector and Chemicals.
• Graduate in Engineering/Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline.
• Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities for the respective discipline.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Team Player, interpersonal skills.
• Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity.
