Job summary

Worley seeks a Field Engineer III to work on-site in a demanding oil & gas construction environment. You will review drawings, support scheduling, and ensure compliance with quality plans and safety standards while coordinating with contractors.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years (Graduate) or 10+ years (Diploma) in relevant engineering fields, with MS Office proficiency and strong teamwork abilities. Adaptability and integrity are essential as projects progress toward completion.

Qualifications

  • Experience in oil & gas sector and chemicals.
  • 7+ years for Graduate Engineers; 10+ years for Diploma Engineers.
  • Knowledge of applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME).

Responsibilities

  • Review issued for construction drawings and seek clarifications as required.
  • Collaborate with Planning Engineer to develop the construction schedule.
  • Understand contract requirements for the discipline and ensure compliance.
  • Assist in review/approval of Quality Plan and ITP of contractors.
  • Coordinate with contractors to develop and review detailed construction schedules.
  • Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plans (if applicable).
  • Supervise safety to maintain a safe workplace and inspect contractor work.
  • Maintain documentation for inspections and participate in audits.
  • Monitor front availability and progress, flag deficiencies to contractors.

The Role

As a Field Engineer III with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • Review the 'Issued for Construction' drawings. Request for clarifications, if required, as perestablished procedure of the project site.
  • Collaborate with the Planning Engineer/Team at project site for developing the construction schedule for the respective discipline.
  • Understand the requirements specified in the contract agreement of the contractors for respective discipline.
  • Assist in review/approval of the Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan of the contractors.
  • Collaborate with the contractors for development of the detailed construction schedule/review the construction schedule, resource status submitted by contractors.
  • Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plan (if applicable).
  • Supervise for safety to maintain a safe workplace. Carry out inspections of activities performed by the contractors to confirm compliance to Field HSE Specification.
  • Carry out stage wise inspection of works performed by the contractor based on the approved quality plan and maintain necessary documentation for the inspections performed.
  • Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
  • Maintain status of front availability and monitor work progress as compared to the approved schedule and highlight deficiencies to the contractor through formal communications.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in review meetings with Contractors, if required.
  • Review and certify the interim and final measurement records submitted by the contractors.
  • Coordinate with the Contractors for submission of 'As Built' mark ups and review of the same.
About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Job Specific Knowledge: Knowledge of quality control, safe ways of working, resource requirement, sequence of activities, and supervision of construction activities for the respective discipline. Aware of the requirements of various applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME etc.) for the respective discipline.
  • Industry Specific Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience for Graduate Engineers/10 years of experience for Diploma Engineers. Experience of working in Oil & Gas Sector and Chemicals.
  • Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training: Graduate in Engineering/Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline.
  • HSE Capability: Knowledge of safe methods of execution of construction activities for the respective discipline.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in MS Office.
  • People Skills: Team Player, interpersonal skills.
  • Other: Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity.
