Job summary

Worley is seeking a Field Engineer II to join our Mumbai site, contributing to project delivery through strong QA, HSE, and coordination with contractors. You will review construction drawings, help plan schedules, ensure contract compliance, and maintain quality and safety documentation on site.

You will work with a team to monitor progress, perform site inspections, and support continuous improvement in a dynamic, safety‑conscious environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of quality control, safe ways of working, and supervision of construction activities for the respective discipline.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas or Chemicals sectors is preferred.
  • Graduate in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline; HSE capability.
  • Proficient in MS Office and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review the ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings and request clarifications as required.
  • Collaborate to develop the construction schedule for the respective discipline.
  • Understand contract requirements of contractors for the discipline.
  • Assist in review/approval of Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan.
  • Coordinate with contractors to develop and review detailed construction schedules and resource status.
  • Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plans where applicable.
  • Supervise safety to maintain a safe workplace and inspect contractor activities for compliance.
  • Maintain documentation of inspections and participate in site quality audits and rounds.
  • Monitor progress against the approved schedule and raise deficiencies through formal communications.

The Role

As a Field Engineer II with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.

  • Review the ‘Issued for Construction’ drawings. Request for clarifications, if required, as per established procedure of the project site
  • Collaborate with the Planning Engineer/Team at project site for developing the construction schedule for the respective discipline.
  • Understand the requirements specified in the contract agreement of the contractors for respective discipline.
  • Assist in review/approval of the Quality Plan and Inspection Test Plan of the contractors.
  • Collaborate with the contractors for development of the detailed construction schedule/review the construction schedule, resource status submitted by contractors.
  • Review JHAs, method statements and lifting plan (if applicable)
  • Supervise for safety to maintain a safe workplace. Carry out inspections of activities performed by the contractors to confirm compliance to Field HSE Specification
  • Carry out stage wise inspection of works performed by the contractor based on the approved quality plan and maintain necessary documentation for the inspections performed.
  • Participate in site walk rounds and quality audits.
  • Maintain status of front availability and monitor work progress as compared to the approved schedule and highlight deficiencies to the contractor through formal communications.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participate in review meetings with Contractors, if required.
  • Review and certify the interim and final measurement records submitted by the contractors.
  • Coordinate with the Contractors for submission of ‘As Built’ mark ups and review of the same.
About You

To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of quality control, safe ways of working, resource requirement, sequence of activities, and supervision of construction activities for the respective discipline. Aware of the requirements of various applicable standards (Indian Standards, ASME etc.) for the respective discipline
  • Minimum 7 years of experience for Graduate Engineers/10 years of experience for Diploma Engineers. Experience of working in Oil & Gas Sector and Chemicals
  • Graduate in Engineering/Diploma in Engineering in respective discipline
  • HSE Capability Knowledge
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Team Player, interpersonal skills
  • Adaptable, open towards learning and development, person of integrity of safe methods of execution of construction activities for the respective discipline
