Job summary

Job description

Role & responsibilities -

1. Route Survey - Conduct detailed route surveys for OFC/FTTH deployment. Assess route feasibility and identify the most suitable fiber alignment. Collect field measurements, photographs, and route-related information. Verify existing infrastructure and identify any obstacles affecting deployment.

2. Daily Reporting - Submit daily work progress reports to the office. Update completed surveys, pending work, and field observations. Maintain accurate records of daily activities and survey status. Communicate delays, challenges, and project risks promptly to the reporting manager.

3. Coordination - Coordinate with Project Engineers, Area Leads, ROW teams, and implementation partners. Assist in collecting required information for project planning and execution. Support field teams during fiber deployment activities. Ensure smooth communication between field and office teams.

4. FF1 Capturing - Conduct FF1 (Field Format-1) capturing for assigned fiber deployment projects. Record accurate field data, GPS coordinates, route details, and site observations. Ensure FF1 reports are completed and submitted as per company and Airtel standards. Maintain proper documentation of all survey activities.

5. Quality & Compliance - Ensure all field surveys comply with Airtel project specifications and company SOPs. Verify the accuracy and completeness of survey data before submission. Follow quality standards during route surveys and field activities. Adhere to company safety guidelines and site safety procedures.

6. Route Challenges & Problem Solving - Identify technical, environmental, and operational challenges during route surveys. Recommend practical solutions for route deviations, obstructions, and field issues. Escalate critical issues to the Project Engineer or Area Lead for timely resolution. Support the implementation team in resolving route-related challenges during execution.

7. Documentation - Prepare and maintain survey reports, FF1 documents, route sketches, and site photographs. Update project records and maintain proper documentation for future reference. Ensure timely submission of all survey-related documents.
