Job description

Fermentation Microbiologist, Biotechnology

Our client is a leading European biotechnology company. They are seeking a highly skilled Fermentation Microbiologist to join their team in India. The successful candidate will provide technical solutions to key accounts across India, with a focus on fermentation and ethanol. In this role, you will report directly to the Regional Manager based overseas and work closely with sales and technical teams to support customer needs and achieve business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide technical insight and solutions to key accounts across India.
  2. Collaborate with sales and technical teams to understand customer needs and deliver effective solutions.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  4. Deliver technical training and support to sales teams and customers.
  5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, developments, and latest product innovations.
  6. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of customer issues and feedback to the Regional Manager.

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, biosciences, or related field.
  2. In-depth knowledge of fermentation and ethanol production processes; experience with cane feedstock ethanol is a strong advantage.
  3. Proven track record of providing technical support and solutions to key accounts.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  7. Willingness to travel as needed.
