Job description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Features Editor to join our Response editorial team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ideating, rewriting, editing, proofreading pages, overseeing/managing production processes, and adhering to deadlines.

Areas of Responsibility (Key Result Areas)

• Handle all work emanating from the Response Editorial team (including ideation, copy editing, planning stories and Pages and release of editions)
• Must have excellent editing skills and be good at the desk
• Must adhere to Page release deadlines
• Must be adept at research and fact-checking
• Work closely with the edit and design teams
• Ensure a smooth production process and an error-free final product
• Will work closely with the marketing team
• Collaborate with editors and writers to develop story ideas and angles.
• Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy and credibility.
• Meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Stay updated on current events, trends, and developments relevant to the publication’s focus.

Qualification and Experience
