GlobalLogic is seeking an FDE – AI/Gen AI Engineer in Gurgaon to bridge AI research with production-grade software for GenAI Search systems, agentic workflows, and RAG pipelines.

You will write production-ready code, build domain-specific agent harnesses, and collaborate with enterprise partners to accelerate deployments while shaping product direction.

Qualifications

• Pro-Code Mastery: degree in CS or equivalent with production-grade coding track record.
• Strong software engineering background with Python and CI/CD experience.
• GenAI/AI stack: hands-on with LLMs, agent frameworks (LangChain, ADK) and vector DBs.

High-code Forward Deployed Engineering model (focusing on rapid, production-ready, hands-on integration) with the specific demands of modern AI-driven Search (Generative AI, Agentic workflows, RAG and multimodal capabilities).

Requirements

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you will operate at the elite intersection of AI research, core software engineering and strategic deployment. Unlike traditional software engineers who focus purely on internal infrastructure, or traditional consultants who focus on high-level advisory, FDEs are hands-on builders who write production-grade code directly alongside strategic partners and enterprise builders.

You will be responsible for bridging the gap between cutting-edge Search AI capabilities (including frontier Language Models, Multimodal Search, and Autonomous Agents) and real-world adoption. You will embed deeply with high-stakes partner teams to accelerate the deployment of hardened, scalable AI systems, while channeling field insights directly back to our core engineering teams to improve our products.

Qualifications:

1. Pro-Code Mastery: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience, with a track record of writing production-quality code.

2. Software Engineering Background: Deep proficiency in languages such as Python and familiarity with standard software development cycles (CI/CD, Git, testing frameworks).

3. GenAI/AI Stack Expertise: Hands-on experience building applications with Large Language Models (LLMs), Agent frameworks (e.g., Agent Development Kit, LangChain) and Vector databases.Minimumm 5 years of experience with 4+ years of relevant experience.

4. Adaptability & Tenacity: Ability to step into ambiguous, complex external developer environments and rapidly identify architectural bottlenecks.

5. Search & RAG Domain Expertise: Proven experience implementing complex Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, semantic search, or ranking optimizations at scale.

6. Distributed Systems Experience: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (e.g., GCP, AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and designing scalable microservices.

7. Cross-Functional & Partner Enablement: Strong engineering communication skills, with the ability to operate as a Technical Pod Lead and explain complex architectural trade-offs to both C-level executives and partner SWEs.

Job responsibilities

Hands-On-Keyboard Strategic Co-Development

• Production-Grade Co-Builds: Write and commit production-ready code alongside strategic partners to architect mission-critical GenAI Search systems, custom multi-agent architectures, and bespoke reasoning engines.
• High-Velocity Sprints: Execute bounded, outcome-driven engineering sprints (typically 6–8 weeks) to deliver functional, high-performance MVPs with rigorous tests and deployment Hardening.
• Agentic Specialization: Build and optimize domain-specific agent harnesses, custom tools, and advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines that leverage real-time search signals.

Product Improvement & Core Contributions

• Codebase Contributions: Act as a core software engineer with direct commit access to enhance our public and internal developer tooling, GenAI SDKs, and Search API libraries.
• Field-to-Product Flywheel: Channel high-fidelity partner requirements, agentic design invariants, and failure modes directly back to Product Management and Core Engineering to resolve platform friction points.
• Eliminate Blockers: Identify systemic platform gaps observed during partner co-builds and proactively write features or bug fixes to address them for the broader ecosystem.
• Hill-Climbing and Evaluation: Build quantitative evaluation suites, autoraters, and domain-specific benchmarks to measure search quality, latency, token efficiency, and tool-calling reliability.
• Grounding & Adaptation: Implement optimal prompting strategies, grounding architectures, and fine-tuning recipes to eliminate hallucinations and ensure factual accuracy in Search outputs.
• Pre-Launch Stress Testing: Stress-test early-stage frontier models and search protocols against complex, real-world customer workflows before public launch.
