Job summary

KA Consultancy is seeking a fashion designer to design and develop girls' western dresses across casual, party, evening, and occasion wear. The role includes researching current fashion trends, creating mood boards and color boards, and developing seasonal collections based on market insights.

You will select fabrics and trims, prepare tech packs and measurement charts, and coordinate with pattern makers, sampling, and production teams to ensure fit and finish meets brand standards.

Qualifications

• 2–12 years of experience in fashion design or related field.
• Experience designing girls' western dresses and awareness of trends.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop girls' western dresses (casual, party, evening, occasion wear).
• Research current fashion trends, colours, silhouettes, fabrics, prints and international trends.
• Develop seasonal collections and new design concepts based on market trends.
• Create fashion sketches, mood boards, colour boards and design presentations.
• Select fabrics, trims, embellishments, prints and accessories; prepare tech packs and measurement charts.
• Coordinate with pattern makers, sampling teams, merchandisers and production teams.
• Review samples, conduct fittings and make modifications to achieve desired fit and finish.
• Ensure designs are commercially viable and aligned with brand target customer.
• Stay updated on emerging trends and competitor collections.

• Research current fashion trends, colours, silhouettes, fabrics, prints, and international fashion trends.
• Develop seasonal collections and new design concepts based on market trends and brand requirements.
• Create fashion sketches, mood boards, colour boards, and design presentations.
• Select appropriate fabrics, trims, embellishments, prints, and accessories.
• Prepare detailed tech packs, measurement charts, construction details, and specifications.
• Coordinate with pattern makers, sampling teams, merchandisers, and production teams.
• Review samples and provide corrections to achieve the desired fit, look, and finish.
• Conduct fittings and make necessary modifications to designs.
• Ensure designs are commercially viable and aligned with the brands target customer.
• Work closely with the sourcing team to identify suitable fabrics and trims.
• Maintain design libraries, samples, colour cards, and collection records.
• Ensure timely completion of design and sampling activities.
• Stay updated on emerging fashion trends and competitor collections.
