Job summary

The Souled Store is seeking a Menswear designer with strong retail experience to own end-to-end design—from market research to range planning, sourcing, and execution. You will coordinate with buying, sourcing, and vendor teams to ensure timely, commercially viable product delivery.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in menswear retail design, a solid grasp of garment construction, and proficiency with Illustrator and Photoshop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of menswear retail design experience, with knit emphasis.
• Strong knowledge of the design process, sourcing cycles, and garment construction.
• Hands-on experience with range building and seasonal calendars.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Proficiency in design/presentation tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.).
• Solid understanding of fabric, fit, silhouette development, embroidery and knitting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct seasonal market research, trend analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
• Develop design concepts aligned with brand vision and seasonal direction.
• Lead range planning with understanding of price architecture and retail strategy.
• Collaborate with buying and merchandising to ensure commercial relevance.
• Coordinate with sourcing teams and vendors for fabric, trims, and development.
• Manage vendor communication from sampling to production.
• Create detailed tech packs, specifications, and production docs.
• Design across woven and knit categories with strong product understanding.
• Monitor sampling, fittings, and refinement through the development cycle.
• Ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
