Job summary

anushé pirani, a Mumbai-based design-first clothing label, is seeking a Fashion Design Associate to bring a collection to life—from design and print development to sampling, construction, and finishing. Hands-on role for someone with a strong technical foundation and initiative.

Based in Mumbai, you will work on-site in Prabhadevi, collaborate with Design and Studio Team, and translate direction into sketches, tech packs, and fabrics sourcing; 2–3 years experience required, immediate joiners

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of fashion design and garment development.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, patterns, fit, and textiles.
• Hands-on studio experience and ability to take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Translate collection direction into sketches, technical illustrations, and tech packs.
• Develop moodboards, colour boards, prints, and design details.
• Work closely with the master and tailors on pattern development, sampling, fittings, and corrections.
• Source fabrics, trims, and other materials through local market visits and supplier coordination.
• Maintain organised design documentation, measurement sheets, and development trackers.
• Coordinate sampling progress, follow up on timelines, and communicate updates or challenges proactively.
• Support consistency in garment construction, quality, and finishing.

About the Role

Atanushé pirani, we’re looking for a Fashion Design Associate who enjoys the process of bringing a collection to life — from design and print development to sampling, construction, and finishing.

This is a hands‑on role for someone with a strong technical foundation, a good design sensibility, and the initiative to take ownership of assigned responsibilities while working closely with our Design and Studio Team.

What You’ll Do

• Translate collection direction into sketches, technical illustrations, and tech packs.
• Develop moodboards, colour boards, prints, and design details.
• Work closely with the master and tailors on pattern development, sampling, fittings, and corrections.
• Source fabrics, trims, and other materials through local market visits and supplier coordination.
• Maintain organised design documentation, measurement sheets, and development trackers.
• Coordinate sampling progress, follow up on timelines, and communicate updates or challenges proactively.
• Support consistency in garment construction, quality, and finishing.

What We’re Looking For

• 2–-3 years of relevant experience in fashion design and garment development.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, patterns, fit, and textiles.
• Proficiency inAdobe Illustrator and Photoshop, including print development.
• Good working knowledge ofMicrosoft Excel.
• Experience in developing prints, including motifs, layouts, and repeat patterns.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to manage assigned work independently.
• Comfortable with hands‑on studio work, market sourcing, and coordination with masters, tailors, and suppliers.
• Currently based in Mumbai and available to work on‑site in Prabhadevi.

Good to Have

• Basic knowledge of pattern grading and garment specifications.
• Experience working with Indian textiles and craft techniques.
• Exposure to both womenswear and menswear development.
