Qualifications

• An advanced degree in Biology or a related field, with expertise in one or more of the areas outlined above.
• Strong educational interests and experience in laboratory work.
• Experience in designing and developing laboratory experiments, modules, and teaching laboratory-based courses will be an added advantage.
• Prior teaching experience is preferable.
• Minimum 5 – 7 years of post-PhD research and/or teaching experience preferred.
• An active research agenda, with the ability and interest to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, curriculum development, and student mentoring.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across disciplines and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Interest in teaching and working with a socially, economically, and academically diverse student cohort.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate BSc (Hons.) Biology programmes and contribute to curriculum development.
• Engage in institutional service and committees and participate in faculty-building activities.

The first phase of campus construction is complete and the overall 50-acre campus with state-of-the-art academic and residential facilities will be ready over the next few years. We expect to grow to about 4000 students and 500 members over the next few years.In addition to teaching in our programmes, we offer faculty an enriching and fulfilling institution-building experience encompassing interdisciplinary programme design, setting up and implementation of key institutional processes, culture building, and participation in various institutional bodies.
