Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Façade Engineer with 8–10 years of expertise to lead design, engineering and execution of façade systems for commercial, residential, or high-rise projects. You will ensure structural integrity, aesthetics, safety, and timely delivery while coordinating with architects and contractors.

The role requires strong knowledge of façade design, materials, and construction techniques, plus proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit or 3D façade tools, and experience with

• Bachelor’s degree required in civil/ mechanical/ architecture.
• Specialized certification in façade engineering preferred.
• Experience with high-rise or large-scale projects advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design & engineering of façade systems including curtain walls, cladding, glazing, skylights, and aluminum systems.
• Perform structural analysis, wind load calculations, and thermal performance assessments.
• Prepare detailed drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details.
• Oversee façade fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Review technical specifications, BOQs, and design drawings.
• Ensure adherence to timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
• Maintain project documentation including design and test reports.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Façade Engineer with 8–10 years of expertise in the design, engineering, and execution of façade systems for commercial, residential, or high-rise projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring structural integrity, aesthetic quality, safety compliance, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Design and develop façade systems including curtain walls, cladding systems, glazing, skylights, and aluminum façade systems


• Perform structural analysis, wind load calculations, and thermal performance assessments


• Prepare detailed drawings, shop drawings, and fabrication details


• Select appropriate materials (glass, aluminum, steel, sealants, etc.) based on project requirements

Project Execution

• Oversee façade fabrication, installation, and commissioning activities


• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, and vendors


• Review technical specifications, BOQs, and design drawings


• Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and budgets

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with international standards (ASTM, EN, BS) and local building codes


• Conduct inspections, testing (water tightness, air leakage, structural performance), and quality checks


• Address site issues and provide technical solutions

Site Coordination & Troubleshooting

• Monitor installation activities and ensure proper workmanship


• Identify and resolve design or installation issues


• Conduct site visits and progress reviews

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain project documentation including design reports, test reports, and compliance certificates


• Prepare progress reports and coordinate with stakeholders for updates

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of façade design, materials, and construction techniques


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or façade design software


• Experience in structural calculations, wind load analysis, and thermal performance


• Understanding of glazing systems, curtain wall technologies, and waterproofing details


• Excellent problem-solving and technical analysis skills


• Strong project management and coordination abilities


• Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or Architecture


• Specialized certification or training in façade engineering (preferred)

Preferred Experience

• Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial complexes, or large-scale infrastructure projects


• Exposure to sustainable façade systems and energy-efficient designs


• Experience working with international consultants or global standards
