Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Fabric Data Engineer to join our Pune, Maharashtra team. The role centers on administering Microsoft Fabric, managing tenant settings, workspace and capacity, security roles, and monitoring data workloads.

The ideal candidate will excel in SQL, data pipelines, and Power BI, including Direct Lake/DirectQuery, RLS and DAX, with deployment experience across Dev-QA-Prod environments.

Qualifications

We are currently seeking a Fabric Data Engineer to join our team in Pune, Mahārāshtra (IN-MH), India (IN).

Must Have Skills

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric administration, including tenant settings, workspace and capacity management, security roles, permissions, service principals, gateways, monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Strong SQL is essential, incremental loading, watermarks and SCD Type 1/Type 2.
• You should understand Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, shortcuts, Dataflows Gen2, metadata-driven pipelines, audit/error handling and Dev-QA-Prod deployments.
• Power BI skills should include semantic modelling, Direct Lake, DirectQuery, RLS, DAX and refresh troubleshooting. Power Query/M and Power Automate are also necessary for transformations, query folding, pipeline automation, API calls, authentication and error handling.

Good to have

• Working knowledge of PySpark, Delta Lake optimization, notebooks, partitioning, Z-ordering and liquid clustering.
• Fabric REST APIs, PowerShell or Python are useful for automating administration, permissions, monitoring and deployments.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD, Microsoft Purview, data governance, sensitivity labels, lineage.
