Job summary

Fiserv is seeking an experienced SQL DBA with Azure hands-on expertise to join our team. You will manage SQL Server databases across on-prem and Azure environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and security for critical data assets.

Responsibilities include installation, configuration, upgrades, migrations, backup/recovery, and proactive monitoring. Collaboration with infra, dev, and cloud teams is essential to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 4 to 10 years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, including Azure SQL Database, Azure virtual machines or other Azure data services.
• Experience in database backup and recovery, performance tuning, security and monitoring.

• Support production releases, environment readiness and operational transitions.
• Maintain technical documentation, standards, support procedures and runbooks.
• Participate in incident management, root cause analysis and continuous improvement efforts.

We are looking for a skilled SQL DBA with hands-on Azure experience to join our team and support the administration, performance, availability and security of critical database environments. What you will do
