Job summary

WSP India is looking for an experienced Project Planner to lead the production, review, monitoring, and management of time schedules, MIS reports, and extension of time claims on complex projects. You will develop schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project, track progress, and produce executive summaries for leadership.

The role requires strong English communication, multi-project coordination, and a background in large-scale desalination or power plant projects, preferably with Middle East

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc (Hon) degree and 10+ years post graduate experience in design and/or construction project planning or planning related functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Program Master Schedules in Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Update Project Schedule and prepare recovery plans when needed.
• Review schedules, analyze baseline schedule and updates, monitor delays; suggest corrective actions.
• Support extension of time and prolongation claims with Primavera P6 data.
• Prepare Monthly Schedule updates/reports and assist in monthly reporting.
• Monitor and control progress to meet milestones.
• Generate executive summary reports for senior management.
• Provide support in project controls, scheduling analysis, earned value management and construction activities.

Responsibilities

• To develop and maintain Program Master Schedules in Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Responsible for updating Project Schedule and to prepare recovery plan when needed
• Review schedules, undertake analysis of baseline schedule and schedule updates, monitoring of schedule delays, Suggest corrective and mitigation actions
• Support in producing extension of time and prolongation claims by providing the required Primavera P6 program to support our submissions
• Preparing Monthly Schedule updates/reports and contributing in preparation of monthly reports
• Monitor and control the progress of work to be adhered to the planned schedule and achieving project milestone
• Generate executive summary reports for higher management
• Provide support in the areas of project controls, scheduling, scheduling analysis, earned value management, claim analysis and construction activities in support of the program
• Ensure proactive project planning, stakeholder and risk management takes place across projects
• Accountable for identifying the major milestones to be attained through the Program/Projects completion
• Oversee construction schedule, perform special analysis for resource loading and performance progress

Key Competencies / Skills:

Mandatory Skills

• Fully proficient with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
• Good knowledge and experience of the project lifecycle and able to correlate Construction Activities with planning, and schedule control
• To have experience working for/ or with contractors or project management companies and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
• To be confident presenting to all stakeholders including contractors and clients
• Strong English language proficiency and communication skills
• Experience in large-scale desalination projects and combined-cycle power plant projects
• Exposure to projects in the Middle East region and Awareness of Middle East project execution processes
• High proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Qualifications

• BEng /BSc (Hon) degree or equivalent and have 10+ years post graduate experience in design and/ or construction project planning or planning related functions.
