Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a skilled Facilities Engineer to oversee day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of MEP and critical facility systems in our commercial buildings in India. The role requires hands-on problem-solving, preventive maintenance and timely response to breakdowns.

Responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, ensuring compliance with EHS standards, and maintaining logs and performance records.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/ITI/degree in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or related engineering.
  • 3-6 years of facilities management/building operations experience.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication, documentation and customer service skills.
  • Experience with MS Office and CMMS/Helpdesk systems.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate electrical, HVAC, DG, UPS, BMS, plumbing and fire & life-safety systems.
  • Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance per schedules and SOPs.
  • Attend technical breakdowns and troubleshoot issues; ensure timely resolution.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections; monitor parameters of critical systems.
  • Coordinate with AMC/OEM vendors and supervise maintenance at site.
  • Maintain PPM schedules, equipment logs, service reports, breakdown records.
  • Support statutory inspections, audits, emergency drills and compliance.
  • Follow EHS requirements including PTW, LOTO, PPE and safe work practices.
  • Monitor energy and utility consumption; support energy-efficiency initiatives.
  • Provide technical support during emergencies, shutdowns and critical facility operations.

Job description

Job Purpose

Key Skills & Qualifications

Diploma / ITI / Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC or related engineering discipline. 3-6 years of relevant facilities management / building operations experience. Good knowledge of MEP systems, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and vendor coordination. Good communication, documentation, problem-solving and customer-service skills. Working knowledge of MS Office and CMMS / Helpdesk systems.
