Walplast Products in Mahape, Navi Mumbai, seeks an Executive/Sr. Executive - R&D for decorative paints to drive product innovation from concept to market.

You will develop new formulations, benchmark competitors, test raw materials, and scale up batches while maintaining quality and safety standards. The role requires 2–5 years of experience in decorative paint R&D with a strong background in chemistry or chemical engineering.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in R&D for decorative paints.

Responsibilities

Designation - Executive/ Sr. Executive - R&D (Decorative Paints)

Location - Mahape, Navi Mumbai

Role & responsibilities

• Create additional features for the products through research, innovation, and existing research and/or technology.
• Conducting competitors benchmarking to compare properties of paint and enhance product quality.
• Creating long term product quality and durability by continual product research, testing and innovation.
• New formulation development. Should carryout cost reduction activities in existing formulations.
• Testing of incoming raw material, standardizing raw materials. Testing & application of outsourced samples.
• Manufacturing of scale up batches, pilot batches. Customer complaint analysis, root cause analysis, problem solving Understanding IS or EN or ASTM standards and execution in daily work.
• Implementation for product testing & application, use of instrument.
  Support to sales and marketing during market trial stage.
  Maintain safety standard in lab. Maintain 5S in lab
