Job summary

Yusen Logistics (India) Pvt. Ltd. is hiring for Executive/Sr. Executive - Quality at the Kanera location. The role focuses on Quality Assurance, Process Excellence, Six Sigma initiatives, and continuous improvement across warehousing operations.

The candidate will develop SOPs, lead audits, analyze KPIs, and drive CAPA actions to reduce defects, errors, and waste while collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, supply chain, quality or a related discipline.
• 26 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Process Excellence, Continuous Improvement, Warehouse Quality, or Operations Excellence.
• Experience in warehousing / supply chain / logistics operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, FMEA, 5S, and Poka-Yoke.
• Good working knowledge of MS.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards, SOPs, work instructions, and process controls.
• Conduct process audits and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor KPIs and drive CAPA actions.
• Perform root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and FMEA.
• Standardize processes and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Drive process improvements to reduce errors, wastage, and variation.
• Monitor quality across inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory processes.
• Identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Improve inventory and order accuracy, reduce damage and turnaround time.
• Conduct periodic warehouse process audits and compliance checks.
• Establish and monitor quality checkpoints at critical stages of warehouse operations.
• Identify and execute Six Sigma/Lean improvement projects; lead or support DMAIC projects.

Role & responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Process Excellence

• Develop, implement, and monitor quality standards, SOPs, work instructions, and process controls.
• Conduct process audits and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor key quality and operational KPIs and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Perform root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto, and FMEA.
• Standardize processes and ensure adherence to defined quality and operational standards.
• Drive process improvements to reduce errors, rework, rejection, wastage, and process variation.

Warehousing Quality

• Monitor quality performance across inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and inventory processes.
• Identify warehouse process deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, order accuracy, damage reduction, and turnaround time.
• Conduct periodic warehouse process audits and compliance checks.
• Work closely with warehouse and operations teams to ensure adherence to SOPs and quality standards.
• Establish and monitor quality checkpoints at critical stages of warehouse operations.

Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement

• Identify and execute Six Sigma / Lean improvement projects aligned with business objectives.
• Lead or support DMAIC projects to improve process capability and reduce defects.
• Use data analysis and statistical techniques to identify trends, variation, and root causes.
• Executive/ Sr. Executive - QualityDevelop project charters, define baselines, track improvements, and quantify benefits.
• Support the organization in building a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Kaizen & Lean Initiatives

• Drive Kaizen, 5S, Visual Management, Poka-Yoke, and waste elimination initiatives.
• Facilitate improvement workshops with cross-functional teams.
• Identify and eliminate the 8 wastes (DOWNTIME) across warehouse and operational processes.
• Track Kaizen implementation and measure the impact of improvements.
• Encourage employee participation in continuous improvement initiatives.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Develop and maintain quality dashboards and MIS reports.
• Track KPIs such as defects, rejection, rework, inventory accuracy, order accuracy, productivity, turnaround time, and process compliance.Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to management.Prepare periodic quality and continuous improvement reports.
• Maintain documentation of improvement projects and realized benefits.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, or a related discipline.
