Job summary

Intas Pharmaceuticals in Gujarat, India, is seeking a scientist to develop, optimize, scale-up, and execute purification processes for viral vectors and plasmid DNA used in Cell & Gene Therapy.

You will execute and optimize downstream purification, design and troubleshoot purification experiments, analyze data, and prepare reports while ensuring quality and safety compliance. Collaborate in a multidisciplinary R&D setting.

Experience with AKTA systems, TFF, and GLP/GMP familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• MSc/M.Tech in Biotechnology or Life Sciences.
• 2–5 years of relevant industrial experience in downstream process development.
• Strong understanding of chromatography, filtration, buffer preparation, and downstream purification principles.
• Hands-on experience with AKTA systems and TFF.
• Experience in purification of viral vectors (AAV / Lentivirus) and plasmid DNA.
• Experience in process development, optimisation, scale-up, and technology transfer activities.
• Proficiency in scientific data analysis, interpretation, troubleshooting, and reporting.
• Experience in preparation of technical documents, protocols, SOPs, EOPs, and batch records.
• Familiarity with GLP / GMP principles and quality systems.

The candidate should be able to:
