Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and physicochemical testing of incoming raw materials.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, Certificates of Analysis (COA), and laboratory records.
• Ensure proper operation, calibration, verification, and maintenance of laboratory instruments.
• Follow SOPs, Good Laboratory Practices, laboratory safety guidelines, and 5S standards.
• Support internal/external audits and continuous laboratory improvement initiatives.
• Assist in timely release of materials by verifying test results against specifications.

Job description

Job Purpose

To perform physicochemical testing of incoming raw materials, ensure timely release of materials, maintain laboratory documentation and analytical equipment, and support quality assurance activities in compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sampling and physicochemical testing of incoming raw materials including rubber chemicals, carbon black, fillers, oils, and elastomers.
• Conduct routine tests such as Moisture, Ash Content, Sieve Residue, pH, Acidity, Specific Gravity, Bulk Density, Pour Density, Loss on Ignition (LOI), Purity (ZnO), Acid Value, Melting Point, Free Amine, Raw Rubber Mooney Viscosity, Carbon Black Iodine Adsorption & DBP Absorption, Process Oil (Specific Gravity, Flash Point, Fire Point & Aniline Point), and other standard quality tests as per specifications.
• Prepare and maintain test reports, Certificates of Analysis (COA), laboratory records, calibration records, and audit documentation.
