Job summary

DEIC-L&T Precision Engineering & Systems IC in Coimbatore is seeking an Executive in the Quality function to ensure aerospace AS9100 compliance in assembly operations. You will supervise inspections, maintain documentation for traceability, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring regulatory compliance and customer satisfaction.

The role involves leading QA activities, NDT supervision, and collaboration with suppliers and customers during audits and reviews to uphold airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; aero knowledge preferred.
• Experience with QA processes in aerospace or similar industries.
• Familiarity with DGCA or similar regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee aeronautical part-level and assembly-level inspections to ensure aerospace standards.
• Oversee inspection and testing activities for structural assemblies and NDT.
• Maintain inspection records, audits, and compliance reports for traceability.
• Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC-based improvements to reduce defects.
• Mentor inspectors and coordinate with suppliers during audits and reviews.

The Executive in the Quality function will oversee and ensure compliance with aerospace quality AS9100 standards in the Aerospace Assembly. This role is responsible for maintaining airworthiness, supervising inspection processes, and driving continuous improvement in assembly operations, while ensuring customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesQA Activities Conduct and supervise aeronautical part-level and assembly-level inspections to ensure conformity with aerospace standards.Inspection & Testing Oversee inspection and testing activities for structural assemblies, including dimensional checks and non-destructive testing (NDT).Documentation Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and compliance reports to support traceability and certification.Regulatory Compliance Ensure adherence to DGCA, and other aerospace regulatory requirements.Improvement Initiatives Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and SPC-based improvement projects to reduce defects and enhance efficiency.Team Leadership Mentor and guide inspectors, technicians, and engineers in quality practices and safety standards.Supplier Quality Management Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet aerospace-grade specifications.Customer Handling Interface with customers during audits, inspections, and quality reviews to ensure satisfaction and trust.
