Job summary

Proklean Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a microbiology-focused professional for quality control laboratory work in Chennai. The role involves sampling from production areas, performing microbiology testing, and preparing timely reports to support production processes.

The candidate will plan daily samplings, work with instruments such as HPLC and spectrophotometer, and develop SOPs for new methods. A master’s degree in microbiology/biotechnology with 1+ year QC experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in microbiology techniques such as plating, sterilization, sterile sampling and culture handling.
• Masters in Microbiology or Biotechnology with at least 1 year of QC lab experience.
• Strong curiosity and teamwork in a fast-paced quality method development environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect production samples and prepare reports within production timelines.
• Perform microbiology testing and analyze data in the quality lab.
• Plan daily samplings and analyses; develop SOPs for new methods.
• Operate analytical instruments such as HPLC, spectrophotometer, pH meter, TDS meter and viscometer.
• Collaborate with marketing to assess customer complaints and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare result summaries and documentation.

Job description

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

• Sampling from production areas for critical Processes.
• Executing production samples in quality lab and preparing reports as per the required timelines of production.
• Planning for daily samplings and analysis.
• Microbiology testing for routine production samples.
• Familiar with microbial assay methods, enzyme assays, probiotics related product handling.
• Developing SOPs for new & corrective methods to simplify the critical analysis areas in production.
• Collaborating with marketing team to do assessment of the customer complaints and troubleshooting of the product issues.
• Handling of analytical instruments including HPLC, spectrophotometer, pH, TDS, viscometer, etc.
• Aware with analytical skills including titration, preparation of standard solutions, standard calibration methods, etc.
• Results & data writing, Preparing reports & result summary.

Job requirements:

A successful candidate will have:

• A profound knowledge of microbiology techniques including plating methods, sterilization procedures, sterile sampling, microbial culture handling, etc.
• A masters degree in microbiology or biotechnology from an accredited college/university and minimum 1+ year of experience in quality control lab.
• An inquiring mind, intense curiosity, and strong desire to work in quality method development.
• A good teamwork skill in fast faced & challenging environment.
