Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Pharmacy (Pharmacology)/ Life Sciences.
• 2+ years of experience in pharmacology research, CRO, pharma R&D or preclinical labs.
• Hands-on in vivo pharmacology or cell-based in vitro assays preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct animal handling, dosing, sample collection per approved protocols.
• Execute efficacy and PK studies in mouse, rat, rabbit models.
• Monitor animal health, weight, clinical signs, study endpoints.
• Maintain accurate records of study conduct and observations.
• Assist in necropsy, tissue collection and processing.
• Ensure compliance with IACUC guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Perform mammalian cell culture and maintenance.
• Execute cell-based assays (viability, cytotoxicity, reporter assays).
• Prepare reagents, media, buffers and assay components.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate with a Master Degree in Pharmacy (Pharmacology) / Life Sciences and 0-3 years of experience in conducting in vivo pharmacology studies and/or cell-based in vitro assays. Hands-on exposure to GLP/GMP documentation practices will be preferred. Fresh candidates with strong academic knowledge and laboratory exposure may also apply. The selected candidate will support pharmacology activities involving execution of in vivo efficacy studies, cell-based in vitro assays, data documentation, and compliance with GMP requirements. The role requires maintaining high standards of scientific quality, data integrity, and regulatory compliance while supporting drug discovery and development programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct and support animal handling, dosing, sample collection, and observations as per approved protocols.


• Execute efficacy and pk studies in mice, rat, rabbit, guinea pig models.


• Monitor animal health, body weight, clinical signs, and study endpoints.


• Maintain accurate records of study conduct and observations.


• Assist in necropsy, tissue collection, and sample processing activities.


• Ensure compliance with institutional animal ethics committee guidelines and applicable regulatory requirements.


• Perform mammalian cell culture and cell maintenance activities.


• Execute cell-based assays including: Cell viability/proliferation assays, Cytotoxicity assays, Reporter gene assays, Functional and mechanistic assays, ELISA-based studies


• Prepare reagents, media, buffers, and assay components.


• Analyze assay results and maintain laboratory records.

GMP Compliance & Documentation:

• Follow approved SOPs, protocols, and GMP requirements.


• Maintain laboratory notebooks, study records, logbooks, and worksheets.


• Ensure data integrity and ALCOA+ principles are followed.


• Report deviations, incidents, and out-of-specification observations.


• Participate in instrument qualification, calibration, and maintenance activities.


• Support internal audits and regulatory inspections.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Compile study data and prepare summary reports.


• Assist in statistical analysis and interpretation of results.


• Present experimental findings to departmental teams.


• Maintain study records.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of pharmacology principles and drug evaluation.


• Basic understanding of laboratory animal handling techniques.


• Experience with cell culture procedures and aseptic techniques.


• Knowledge of ELISA, spectrophotometric assays, and bioassays.


• Familiarity with Statistical softwares, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


• Understanding of GMP, GLP, and data integrity concepts.


• Strong attention to detail.


• Good documentation and organizational skills.


• Scientific aptitude and analytical thinking.


• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.


• Good communication and presentation skills.
