Job summary

Insecticides India is seeking an SAP Master Data professional to maintain enterprise-wide master data accuracy within SAP. You will support L1 users, resolve basic issues, and manage data governance for Material, Vendor, and Customer Masters, BOMs and related objects.

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of enterprise-wide master data within the SAP ERP system. This role serves as the primary point of contact for L1 support, resolving basic functional issues and managing help desk tickets to maintain optimal system operations.

Key Responsibilities

Master Data Maintenance & Governance

• Data Lifecycle Management: Execute the day-to-day creation, validation,and maintenance of master data elements, including Material Master, Vendor Master, Customer Master, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Bulk Data Processing: Use tools like LSMW or Winshuttle to perform mass data uploads and updates.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Procurement,Finance) to verify data accuracy for operational processes like Order-to-Cash and Procure-to-Pay.

L1 Support & Troubleshooting

• Ticket Management: Monitor, prioritize, and resolve help desk tickets based on assignments from the L0 team.
• User Support: Provide basic troubleshooting for common issues like login failures, password resets, and account unlocks.
• System Monitoring: Oversee background jobs and interface monitoring to alert relevant teams of potential failures.
• Escalation: Identify complex issues and elevate them to L2 or L3 support teams with detailed documentation.

Documentation & Training

• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Create and maintain user manuals and SOPs for new SAP objects or processes.
• End-User Training: Provide ad-hoc training and guidance to business users on SAP best practices and data entry standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: Typically 3-5 years of experience in SAP Master Data

Management or functional support (MM, SD, or FI modules).

• Technical Proficiency:Familiarity with ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA).

Soft Skills

• High attention to detail for data validation.
• Strong communication skills for training and cross-departmental

coordination.

• Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Education: B.com or any equivalent or MCA, Business, Supply Chain,Accounts or a related field.
