About the Role
- The incumbent will be responsible for working in tandem with the business, taking care of HR functions regionally as an extension of the Corporate HR Team. The role involves supporting business heads and partnering with them in the implementation of strategies and helping attain business targets and goals. The position will be designated depending on the complexity and scope of the tasks assigned to the incumbent.
- The person will work as part of a multi-functional team and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders across India.
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the corporate recruitment team in hiring on-roll and contract resources according to business needs and timelines. Encourage employee referrals. Identify and highlight regional talent to the business and CO HR, ensuring opportunities for upward and lateral career movements.
- Focus on employee engagement to maintain high morale, motivation, and productivity.
- Effectively support all HR initiatives implemented at the branches.
- Coordinate training requests with relevant corporate teams; support post-training evaluations, training logistics, billing, and invoicing.
- Ensure timely sharing of initial information related to accidents. Coordinate with the Corporate Mediclaim team, ESIC hospitals/dispensaries, and other facilities to facilitate treatment and support. Assist employees with ESIC/Mediclaim processes, including reimbursement and cashless options.
- Guide and assist businesses in maintaining discipline and effectively managing industrial relations (IR) issues.
- Support business managers in achieving targets by providing timely HR assistance.
- Provide guidance on statutory and compliance-related aspects within the HR/IR domain at branch level and for the customer; coordinate with the back office for documentation and inspections.
- Manage unions and communicate to foster peaceful industrial relations; support branches in court matters, conciliation, and inquiries under labour laws.
- Collaborate with the business to uphold SHE directives and ensure staff safety. Orient employees on workplace safety, PPE usage, and adherence to SHE guidelines; counsel staff on off-duty safety practices and report deviations.
- Foster employee connections by engaging with a sample of staff at all levels in the region, including on-roll and contract technicians, to address queries and provide timely solutions.
- Conduct investigations in response to escalations, grievances, or speak-up concerns; analyze incident reports to determine appropriate actions in collaboration with CO.
- Involvement in ad hoc projects as required.
- Conduct exit interviews for voluntary departures and perform 30- and 120-day follow-up calls with new hires.
- Deep dive into branches with low retention among Sales and Service staff; develop, implement, and track action plans monthly.
Educational / Other Requirements
- 1 to 4 years of experience with an MBA or any equivalent degree in Human Resources.
- Willingness for extensive travel as required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in the local language is an added advantage.
