Overview

Excellent Opportunity in a leading Singapore based Shipping Company as Assistant Manager – Accounts – Kharadi Pune location.

Designation: Assistant Manager – Accounts

Location: Kharadi, Pune

Department: Accounting

Experience: 3+ yrs

Industry: Shipping

Reports to: Head of Accounts

Working days: 5 days

Timings: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Responsibilities
  • Assist in management of accounting team as required. If assigned direct reporting responsibility, then accountable for line management and performance management of respective staff.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior staff as required to enable their development.
  • Oversee and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist in organising the daily activities of accounts department including but not limited to, bookkeeping, invoicing, payables, receivables, and tax reporting.
  • Assist to prepare financial reports for internal and external reporting as required from time to time.
  • Assist with tax planning and filing annual returns in all regions where the group operates, under guidance of HOA.
  • Assist in preparing annual budget planning process and budget management.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts as required by HOA, Leadership team.
Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in conduct of internal and external audits and any investigations for accounting related incidents.
Miscellaneous

Provide support for company projects as per instructions from Leadership team and other activity as required by company’s operational requirement.

Educational/Skills Qualification
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related subject.
  • 3+ years experience in accounts department, with exposure to handling AR and AP matters in a high-volume setup.
  • Exposure to complex accounts structure involving multiple companies; jurisdiction will be advantageous.
  • Experience in Harbour craft industry / Maritime industry will be advantageous.
Skills

Structured and self-motivated, teamwork, communication, report writing, people management. Experience with accounting & tax preparation software. QuickBooks experience will be advantageous.
