Responsibilities

General QA & QC, Testing & Commissioning (T&C) requirements for Electrical systems. Responsibilities include review and comment on:

• Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Inspection Testing Plan (ITP), and check-lists based on Client’s Quality Management Manual, ISO Quality Management System, GFC drawings, shop drawings, specifications, project quality, and HSE requirements for Mechanical and Electrical works (response within 7 days from submission).
• Preparing inspection schedules based on CLIENT Representative’s defined major and minor inspections on-site and off-site in ITP with criteria per applicable Indian Standards and PQP as mentioned in the enclosed matrix.
• Site inspections in accordance with Construction Schedule and CLIENT instructions, with findings rectified by subcontractor and rechecked by TL and Inspector.
• Joint major inspections with CLIENT Representative, TL and Inspector; post-rectification inspections; final inspection by CLIENT prior to casting/covering with Inspection Testing Records (ITR) approval.
• Rejecting materials not conforming to the approved material list and reporting to CLIENT Representative promptly.
• Conducting inspections for joints and connections of all works; re-inspections if modified/ re-opened/ changed after ITR approval.
• Maintaining ITR records before and after installation; documentary evidence including approval sheets and visual inspections; weekly/bi-weekly records submitted to CLIENT Representative.
• Conducting weekly/bi-weekly/monthly site quality walks with CLIENT Representative; capturing observations for corrective and preventive actions to avoid future defects.
• Weekly quality reports; attending meetings every two months with Client for quality observations and control.
• Quality awareness training before commencement of work packages to CLIENT.
• Preparing Testing and Commissioning (TnC) Plan and supporting team for TnC execution.
• Ensuring timely rectification of observations raised by Owner; conducting quarterly Quality Audits and closing related findings.
• Owner’s pre-handover and handover inspections; closure of quality reports practically and contractually.
• Monitoring and controlling snag-list for project closure.
• Any other QA-QC and TnC activities as instructed by CLIENT.

Electrical Responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC activities as per general requirements for Electrical works – HT Electrical Power system, Medium Voltage, Low Voltage & Extra Low Power System in line with approved documents.
• Conduct finished goods and raw materials inspections at off-site as per ITP.
• Prepare and execute T&C Plan including corrective and preventive actions based on site observations.
• Participate in Govt Authorities’ NOC inspections.
