Job Profile

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing motion-controlled systems and leading mechanical design for new products. You will work on concept layouts, 3D parts and assembly models, and detailed technical drawings using CAD tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept and Design Development: Prepare concept layouts, 3D models, and detailed drawings for new product development, including engineering calculations and design documents such as Bill of Materials (BOM), Engineering Change Notices (ECNs), etc.
• Reverse Engineering & Technology Transfer: Implement and monitor reverse engineering processes and technology transfer as required.
• Prototype Manufacturing: Coordinate and support at all stages of prototype manufacturing, including managing vendor relationships and subcontractor coordination.
• Documentation Management: Maintain and update all technical product documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping of design changes and updates.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Establish and implement systems for testing and quality assurance.
• Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve technical issues as they arise during the design and manufacturing process.

Desired Knowledge / Skills

• Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals: Strong foundation in mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, and other core mechanical engineering principles.
• CAD & 3D Modeling Expertise: Expert-level skills in using SolidWorks and other 3D/2D CAD tools for mechanical and sheet metal design.
• Manufacturing Process Knowledge: Familiarity with various manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, vacuum forming, and rotational molding.
• Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work in a small team environment and communicate technical knowledge clearly, both in writing and verbally.
• Experience: 8 to 10 years of industry experience in machine design, particularly in motion-controlled systems.

Qualification

• Educational Requirement: BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
