Job summary

Perydot NexaTech Pvt. Ltd. in Chennai is seeking an experienced ETL QA Engineer to design and execute ETL test strategies, validate data across source, staging, and target systems, and ensure data integrity in data warehouse environments.

You will write complex SQL queries, develop Python scripts for test automation, perform end-to-end testing, and collaborate in Agile ceremonies with cross-functional teams to deliver quality data solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in ETL/Data Warehouse Testing.
• Strong SQL skills (intermediate to advanced).
• Hands-on Python for QA and test automation.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and data warehouse architecture.
• Experience with data validation and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with SCD Type 1 and Type 2.
• Experience with API/File/DB data sources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute ETL test strategies, cases, and scenarios.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute ETL test strategies, test cases, and test scenarios.
• Validate data across source, staging, and target systems.
• Perform data completeness, accuracy, integrity, transformation, and reconciliation testing.
• Write complex SQL queries for backend and data validation.
• Develop and execute Python scripts for test automation and data validation.
• Test complex data transformations, business rules, mappings, and data pipelines.
• Validate incremental loads, full loads, CDC, and SCD models.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end ETL testing.
• Identify, analyze, and report data defects and coordinate with development/data engineering teams for resolution.
• Maintain automated test scripts and contribute to improving the overall QA automation framework.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
