Job summary

Elabs Infotech in Bengaluru, Karnataka, is seeking an experienced ETL Testing Automation Engineer to validate enterprise data warehouses, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based data platforms.

The candidate will design and execute test strategies, develop automated frameworks, write complex SQL, perform data validation, and collaborate with data engineers and product owners in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 510 years of experience in ETL/Data Warehouse Testing.
• Strong hands-on experience in SQL and database testing.
• Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks for ETL validation.
• Experience testing batch and real-time data pipelines.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and dimensional modeling.
• Experience working with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test strategies for ETL/ELT and Data Warehouse projects.
• Validate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes across multiple source and target systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks for ETL and data validation.
• Create reusable automation scripts to validate large datasets efficiently.
• Perform source-to-target mapping validation and data reconciliation.
• Validate data quality, completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Develop complex SQL queries for backend data validation and reconciliation.
• Perform API validation where required for data integration workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, Business Analysts, and Product Owners to understand business requirements.
• Identify, log, track, and verify defects using defect management tools.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and Agile ceremonies.
• Generate test reports, metrics, and quality dashboards.
• Support production validation, deployment verification, and release activities.
