The role includes designing Snowflake data structures, SQL scripting, API and file-based integrations, and production support.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Talend ETL Developer to support and enhance existing data integration solutions and contribute to ongoing development activities. The role involves working with enterprise data sources, databases, file-based integrations, and application interfaces to ensure reliable data processing and smooth data movement across systems.

Job Description:

The candidate will work with the existing development team and business stakeholders to understand requirements, maintain current integrations, implement enhancements, perform testing, and provide production support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and enhance ETL jobs using Talend.
• Support existing data integration processes and implement changes based on business requirements.
• Build reliable, scalable, and complex Talend ETL/ELT pipelines to handle massive data volumes.
• Work with databases, enterprise applications, flat files, cloud storage, and API-based integrations.
• Designing and optimizing data structures (tables, views, stored procedures, etc.) within Snowflake
• Perform data extraction, transformation, loading, validation, and reconciliation activities.
• Write SQL queries to analyze data, investigate discrepancies, and validate integration results.
• Support integrations involving ERP systems and downstream business applications.
• Monitor job executions, investigate failures, troubleshoot issues, and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Participate in development, unit testing, QA, deployment, and post-deployment validation activities.
• Support job scheduling, configuration management, error handling, and routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA teams, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge transfer for existing processes.
• Follow established development practices, version control procedures, and release management processes.
• Provide timely support for production issues and help ensure the continuity and reliability of business-critical data flows.

Technical Skills

• Talend ETL development and data integration.
• Proficiency in T-SQL and SnowSQL.
• SQL Server, SSMS, Snowflake, and SQL query development.
• Experience working with enterprise databases and ERP applications.
• File-based integrations, CSV files, SFTP, and secure data transfers
• REST APIs and structured data formats such as JSON and XML.
• Talend job scheduling, monitoring, error handling, and troubleshooting.
• Data validation, reconciliation, and performance optimization.
• Git or other version control tools.
• Experience working across development, testing, and production environments.

Preferred Experience

• Experience supporting existing enterprise ETL processes.
• Exposure to retail, merchandising, inventory, product, vendor, store, or other operational data.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data integration and data warehousing.
• Experience with production support, incident resolution, and controlled deployments.
• Ability to understand existing workflows, adapt to established business logic, and work independently after the initial knowledge-transfer period.

The candidate should have good analytical and problem-solving skills, a practical understanding of ETL development, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams.
