Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking an Estimation Specialist to deliver robust estimation processes, cost-competitive bids, and support regional sales targets. You will study specifications, prepare IO summaries, BOQs, and control system sizing, while ensuring technical compliance and timely delivery.

You will coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders, apply knowledge of BMS and Honeywell products to craft solutions that meet customer requirements and optimize cycle times.

Qualifications

• BE in instrumentation & control, electronics & electrical engineering preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in relevant field.
• Exposure to Building Management System (BMS).
• Flexible working hours to meet deadlines.
• Pre-sales process knowledge.
• Ability to manage jobs and/or projects to standards and budgets.
• Value-engineered approach in all deliverables.
• MS Office (Excel & Word) competency.

Responsibilities

• Execute robust estimation processes to deliver quality, cost-competitive bids aligned with regional sales targets.
• Prepare IO summaries, BOQs, costings, and equipment selections (HVAC, valves, cables).
• Study specifications to determine inclusions/exclusions and technical qualifications/assumptions.
• Develop system architectures, control schematics, and submittals per regional requirements.
• Manage vendor relations and commercial aspects, including taxation.
• Track regional technical preferences and apply Honeywell product knowledge to meet customer needs.
• Perform quality checks on jobs and contribute to standardization for cost/cycle-time improvements.
• Demonstrate sound business process knowledge and teamwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for robust estimation processes to deliver best in quality and cost competitive bids to enable achievement of HBS regional sales targets.

Responsible for robust estimation processes to deliver best in quality and cost competitive bids to enable achievement of HBS regional sales targets.

Technical Skills

• Estimation- Input study, generation of RFI’s, HVAC equipment take-off, preparation of IO summary, DDC controller sizing, field device selection, preparation of BOQ, costing, valve selection, cable schedule.
• Proposals- Studying specifications and arrive at inclusion/ exclusion list, Technical qualifications/ assumptions/ deviations.
• Technical submittals- Preparation of system architecture, floor risers, control schematics, specification compliance etc. as per regional requirements.
• Commercial exposure- Vendor management, taxations.
• Contributing and tracking the regional technical preferences on estimations, awareness of the product ranges, ability to apply knowledge and understanding of Honeywell products to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Performing quality checks for the jobs.
• Contribute towards establishing & standardization of new processes for cost optimization & cycle time reduction.
• Sound Knowledge of business processes and systems.

Qualifications

• BE in related discipline preferably Instrumentation & Control, Electronics & Electrical Engineering etc.
• Work experience in relevant field – Min 3-5 years .
• Exposure to Building Management System (BMS)
