Job summary

Intellectual Capital HR Consulting Pvt. Ltd. seeks an Equity Research Analyst for the Institutional Sell Side desk in Mumbai to cover Indian listed companies across Pharma, FMCG, Midcap, BFSI, Real Estate, and Power sectors.

The role involves fundamental research, financial modelling, and generating high-conviction investment ideas for domestic and global institutional clients. Prior sector exposure is preferred; CA/CFA/MBA (Finance) are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 3–8 years of Sell-Side Equity Research experience in Indian markets.
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
• Excellent report writing and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain coverage on companies within assigned sector(s).
• Build and update detailed financial models, earnings estimates, and valuation frameworks.
• Publish research reports including initiations, result updates, thematic notes, and sector outlooks.
• Generate differentiated stock ideas with clear investment thesis, catalysts, and risk assessment.
• Conduct management interactions, channel checks, and industry analysis.
• Engage with institutional clients through meetings, calls, and conferences.
• Coordinate closely with Sales & Trading teams to support idea dissemination.
• Track sector developments, regulatory changes, and macro trends impacting coverage universe.

Role Overview

Candidate Profile

• 3–8 years of relevant experience in Sell-Side Equity Research covering Indian markets
  
• Prior sector exposure in Pharma, FMCG, Midcap, BFSI, Real Estate, or Power preferred
  
• Strong financial modelling and valuation skills (DCF, relative valuation, scenario analysis)
  
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills
  
• CA / CFA / MBA (Finance) preferred
  
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
