Job summary

MSCI invites applications for a Quantitative Index Research role in Mumbai. You will contribute to research and development of MSCI Factor, Thematic, Climate and ESG indexes, working closely with investment teams to evolve methodologies.

The ideal candidate has strong skills in Python, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with data vendors like Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset, plus knowledge of Matlab/SQL. Excellent communication and presentation abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of equity analysis and equity investment process.
• Familiarity with AI toolkit, Python, Excel and PowerPoint; VBA knowledge is a plus.
• Familiar with investment research and data vendors (Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset) and portfolio management systems.

Overview

The Quantitative Index Research team is responsible for the research and development of all custom MSCI Factor, Thematic, Climate and ESG Indexes
-Monitoring developments in the investment management process globally, including new trends and styles in porfolio management, investment styles and asset allocation
-Researching and recommending methodology enhancements in close consultation with leading investment management firms

Qualifications

Understanding of equity analysis and equity investment process, familiarity with Institutional Investment Practices and Buy Side Porolio Management concepts
-AI toolkit, Python , Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint knowledge. Good knowledge of VBA is a plus. Knowledge of Matlab/SQL and modular designing preferred.
-Familiar with investment research and data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset, risk and porfolio management systems)
-Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
