Job summary

Niyukti Systems, Inc is seeking a reliable Equipment Operator to join our construction team. You will perform routine equipment checks and maintenance, help load and unload gear, and ensure sites are kept clean and equipment is safely turned off and stored.

You will observe the distribution of concrete and complete necessary paperwork and reports. Success requires following health and safety regulations, taking direction from supervisors, and showing strong hand-eye coordination.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Relevant license and safety certification are required.
• Apprenticeship would be advantageous.
• Prior experience operating equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment following safety regulations.
• Load and unload equipment and keep sites clean.
• Report faults to Supervisor or Foreman promptly.
• Observe safe distribution of concrete and materials at sites.
• Train new crew on safe operation of equipment.
• Follow instructions from superiors under pressure.
• Tighten safety checks and coordinate with crew to meet deadlines.
• Attend meetings and refresher courses on safety.
• Troubleshoot faults as needed.
• Ensure equipment is turned off and stored properly.

Job description

To be successful as an equipment operator, you should consistently follow health and safety regulations and be able to take instructions from superiors. Outstanding equipment operators should display great hand and foot coordination and always be thinking of ways to improve efficiency.

Equipment Operator Responsibilities

• Ensuring all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety regulations.
• Cleaning, lubricating, and performing regular safety checks on equipment.
• Ensuring equipment is properly positioned before turning it on and off, or loading and unloading it.
• Training new crew members in the safe operation of equipment.
• Performing other construction duties as needed.
• Observing the safe distribution of concrete and other materials.
• Promptly reporting all faults to the Supervisor or Foreman.
• Ensuring sites are kept clean and safe.
• Attending meetings and refresher courses to ensure responsible equipment operation.
• Identifying faults and troubleshooting equipment as required.

Equipment Operator Requirements
