The Sr. Staff (or Staff) Developer, Windchill PLM System will design and develop enterprise‑wide PLM system configurations and workflows to align with business goals and technical needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop the overall design of PTC PLM modules (Windchill premium, advanced, navigator, collaborator) implementations, ensuring they align with business requirements.
- Create detailed design specifications for configuration, minor customizations, and integrations with ERP and other customer applications.
- Design intuitive and user‑friendly interfaces for Windchill applications, ensuring the UI meets standards and enhances user experience.
- Optimize business processes within Windchill to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Design workflows and automation processes to streamline operations, reduce errors, and improve data integrity.
- Produce comprehensive design documentation, including diagrams and specifications, to guide development and implementation.
- Maintain SOPs and the knowledge base according to the support process definition.
- Investigate or fulfill issues or requests raised by users, identifying workarounds or resolutions as applicable.
- Monitor the support queue to ensure response and resolution SLAs are compliant.
Skills
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, XML, and Web Services (SOAP/REST).
- Experience with Windchill APIs and customization frameworks.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with designers and other stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of PLM concepts, Windchill architecture, and extended modules.
- Experience in system and UI design.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
- Proficiency in design tools and methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/BS with 10+ years of experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a STEM‑related field.
- 8 years of experience in PTC Windchill PLM architecture, design, development, implementation, configuration, interfaces/API, and support.
- Strong proficiency in PTC PLM applications, including Windchill, Thingworx, Creo, CodeBeamer, SUMA, and Reporting.
- Proven experience managing large‑scale complex PLM IT projects, including gathering requirements, system design, testing, and deployment.
- Strong understanding of Engineering, Suppliers, Quality, and Reliability processes such as CAD, Part, BOM, Doc, Issue, Audit, Change, AML, Projects, Compliance, and Reports management capabilities.
- Experience with data integration and interfacing between PLM and other enterprise systems, such as Oracle ERP and CRMs.
- Experience managing interactions with third‑party vendors, content providers, and business stakeholders.
- Experience leading and managing a diverse and global IT team.
- Experience implementing innovative technology solutions that drive business value.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
