Job summary

Valuelabs in Hyderabad seeks a Senior Enterprise Architect to define and govern enterprise architecture across applications, data, integration, cloud, and infrastructure. You will lead architecture reviews, drive API strategies, and guide AI-enabled design with a cloud-first mindset.

The role requires deep experience in microservices, domain-driven design, and large-scale systems, with a focus on performance, security, and governance across complex enterprise environments.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design scalable backend systems using Java/.NET and modern backend frameworks.
• Define microservices, domain services, APIs, integration layers, and distributed application architecture.
• Design RESTful APIs, gRPC services, messaging, and event-driven solutions.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD), bounded contexts, and appropriate design patterns.
• Guide engineering teams on application design, coding standards, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Architect caching, database access, asynchronous processing, and high-volume transactional applications.
• Define scalable frontend architecture for enterprise applications using React/Angular/JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Drive cloud-native solution architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture & Governance

• Define and maintain enterprise architecture blueprints across applications, data, integration, cloud, and infrastructure.
• Establish architecture principles, standards, frameworks, and technology guardrails.
• Align technology strategy with business roadmaps and long-term growth plans.
• Conduct architecture reviews, solution assessments, and design approvals.

System Design & High-Volume Architecture

• Design scalable, distributed, and high-performance systems capable of handling high transaction volumes.
• Architect solutions for high availability, fault tolerance, scalability, and resilience.
• Define caching, data partitioning, asynchronous processing, queuing, and event-driven patterns.
• Drive application performance, scalability, and optimization strategies.

Backend Architecture

• Design scalable backend systems using Java / .NET and modern backend frameworks.
• Define microservices, domain services, APIs, integration layers, and distributed application architecture.
• Design RESTful APIs, gRPC services, messaging, and event-driven solutions.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD), bounded contexts, and appropriate design patterns.
• Guide engineering teams on application design, coding standards, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Frontend Architecture

• Define scalable and modular frontend architecture for enterprise applications.
• Provide architectural direction for modern web applications using React, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, or equivalent technologies.
• Define frontend design standards, reusable components, state management, API integration, and application performance practices.
• Drive responsive, secure, accessible, and high-performing user experiences.
• Establish seamless integration between frontend applications, backend services, APIs, and authentication services.

AI & Generative AI Integration

• Architect enterprise applications with AI/ML and Generative AI capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to embed AI into existing business applications and platforms.
• Design integration patterns for LLMs, AI APIs, AI agents, RAG-based solutions, and enterprise data sources.
• Define secure and scalable AI integration with frontend, backend, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Guide engineering teams on AI-enabled application architecture, data privacy, security, governance, and responsible AI adoption.
• Evaluate AI technologies and architectural approaches based on business requirements, scalability, security, and enterprise readiness.

Cloud-First Architecture

• Lead cloud-native solution architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Design solutions for elasticity, scalability, availability, security, observability, and cost optimization.
• Define cloud architecture standards and governance.
• Provide architectural direction for containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Guide Infrastructure as Code adoption using tools such as Terraform, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation.

Microservices & API Strategy

• Design scalable microservices-based architectures.
• Establish API standards, API gateway patterns, integration standards, and service communication strategies.
• Define synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns.
• Drive containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Apply DDD and bounded-context principles for complex enterprise applications.

Data & Integration Architecture

• Design data platforms supporting operational workloads, analytics, AI/ML, and Generative AI use cases.
• Define integration patterns using REST, gRPC, messaging, and event streaming.
• Architect real-time and streaming solutions using technologies such as Kafka and Azure Event Hubs.
• Define data access, integration, governance, lineage, security, and compliance standards.
• Enable enterprise data integration for AI and intelligent application use cases.

Security & Compliance

• Embed security-by-design principles across frontend, backend, cloud, data, and AI architectures.
• Define secure authentication and authorization approaches, including IAM and Zero Trust principles.
• Ensure API security, application security, data protection, and secure cloud integration.
• Ensure solutions comply with enterprise security policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Engineering & Delivery Practices

• Provide architectural guidance for build, deployment, and release processes.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure applications are testable, maintainable, observable, and production-ready.
• Promote engineering best practices, automation, code quality, performance, and reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps/platform teams as required rather than owning extensive DevOps/SRE responsibilities.

Stakeholder & Technical Leadership

• Collaborate with business, product, and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Provide hands‑on architectural guidance to backend, frontend, cloud, data, and AI engineering teams.
• Mentor senior developers, technical leads, and architects.
• Evaluate technologies, frameworks, platforms, and architectural approaches.
• Influence technology decisions and provide executive‑level technical direction.
• Drive architecture from concept and design through implementation and production.
