Application Enterprise Architect

in this role of Enterprise Architect, the individual is expected to carry strong experience in Cloud Application development - Azure mandatory with optional AWS, good security and infrastructure understanding in the applications and SaaS software.

TheTechnology and ApplicationsEnterprise Architect reviews current and potential technologies, standards, applications,and systems to ensure the appropriate and successful use of technology in support an AIcentric enterprise. They arestrongenterprisearchitectswith broad domain experience inAI,cloud application architecture,business, data andsecurityconstructs.Thisindividual contributorrole is also responsible for IT governance oversightalongside driving transformative initiativesacrossenterprisefunctions and application ecosystem.

Job Responsibilities

• Owns the Application andTechnology(Application and Systems technologies)domains and drives the organization's assets from the current state to the target state architecture.
• Maintains subject matter expertise inbroadenterprise-wideapplication technologiesto drive transformation across awidespectrum of enterprise capabilities in an insurance and financialapplication ecosystem.
• Collaborates with members of IT to review and assess the architecture of Products, Systems, or Applications for compliance to existing standards, guidelines, or best practices.
• Collaborates with other Enterprise Architects, Domain Owners and APMs (Agile Program Managers) to ensure that any recommendations or approaches will align well from an Application, Infrastructure, and Data perspective.
• Performs in depth technical analysis, research, proof of concepts, and evaluations as required to validate that the recommendations Enterprise Architecture makes are sound and will not introduce risk into IT Execution
• Maintains an understanding of long-term company strategy and ensures that designs will enable the company to meet the changing industry/competitive demands.
• Reviews Systems, Applications, or Products and provides recommendations for improvements that will enhance the alignment to standards, best practices, or guidelines.
• Collaborates with Enterprise Architecture and other members to define architecture standards that drive business capabilities and optimization, creating efficiency, quality, and agility.
• Must effectively communicate with and influence teams without direct reporting responsibility.
• Prepares presentations, documents, diagrams, models, and other artefacts as required to communicate analysis, recommendations, or designs.
• Communicates with stakeholders at varying levels within the organization to drive our use of technology forward.
• Serves as a trusted advisor to the CTO and IT Leadership team.
• Prepares materials to support the IT Governance Committee (monthly) and IT Steering Committee (as required).
• Analyses collected data to identify what contributed to performance positively or negatively to foster a culture of continuous improvement and to drive to outcomes.
• Coordinates, projects and activities to ensure they are completed on time with limited supervision from management.
• Drive Enterprise Architecture Governance and activities across multiple business units in a federated enterprise architecture model.
• Manage Enterprise Technology and application governance data, best practices and guidelines documentation and repository structures.

Required knowledge & skills would typically be acquired through atechnologydegree and 12+ years of related experience in software development,systems design &delivery.Prior experience and accountability for systemandapplications architecturesat the enterprise levelisrequired.

• Extremely strong and sophisticated communication skills to communicate, collaborate and build consensus across diverse group of technologists.
• Broad enterprise technology and application architecture experience with ability to quickly analyze& solutionnew technologies and applications.
• Strong expertise in cloud technologiesfor applications(Azuremandatory with optionalAWS) along withgoodsecurity and infrastructure understanding in the context of applications and SaaS software.
• Experience as an Enterprise Architector senior solution architect for a large domaininamedium to large organizations isrequiredwith strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills. A software development and delivery background is a mandatory precursor to atechnologicalcareer withincreasingtechnical responsibility.
• Must be able to learn quickly and contribute across variousparallelwork streams.
• Ability to span high level andlow-levelanalysis and design across different technologies for application andtechnologydomainsis required.
• Strong understanding of AI technologiesand their practical application to IT operations, End User Productivity, SDLC,Corporate functions.
• Ability to understand and define Enterprise Architecture Governance data, metricsand dashboards.
