Job summary

Franklin Templeton Investments seeks an Enterprise Data Advisor to bridge lines of business and the Enterprise Data Office, establishing a shared understanding of data assets, educating teams, and ensuring data is governed and usable at scale. The role connects business users, data owners, platforms, and governance standards to enable data adoption and regulatory-grade data quality.

The EDA will guide cross-functional teams, promote data literacy, and advance practical governance across programs

Qualifications

  • 5–8 years related experience in data management, data governance, analytics, or related discipline.
  • Experience supporting data and analytics initiatives within a Line of Business (LOB) preferred.
  • Understanding of Data Governance frameworks and tools, including ownership, stewardship, data quality, metadata, and policies.
  • Knowledge of modern data ecosystems, data warehousing, cloud platforms and BI tools.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across competing priorities.
  • Strong relationship management, communication, and documentation skills.

Franklin Templeton is seeking an Enterprise Data Advisor (EDA) to serve as the primary bridge between the lines of business and the Enterprise Data Office, establishing a shared understanding of data across the organization, educating teams on available data assets, and ensuring Franklin Templeton data is governed, trusted, and usable at scale. The role connects business users, data owners, technology platforms, and governance standards to enable effective data adoption and regulatory grade data quality. The EDA works across programs and initiatives to guide teams away from legacy and manual data practices toward secure, well defined, and authoritative enterprise datasets while aligning data quality controls to business criticality and collaborating with Data Stewards, Data Owners, Data Producers, and Data Consumers.


Key Responsibilities


  • Responsible for establishing standards, guidelines, and processes used to maintain common, firm wide data standards to protect FTI’s critical information assets.

  • Develops, maintains, and implements strategies that increase the consistency/confidence of data used for decision making, improving knowledge firm wide.

  • Facilitate delivery of data driven solutions for assigned LOB (Line of Business).

  • Participate in data and analytics projects for assigned LOB.

  • Support transition from legacy point solutions to governed enterprise data consumption.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions.

  • Develop and maintain relationships across assigned LOB.

  • Provide expert guidance and implementation advice for using data effectively within and across business operational processes.

  • Act as a single point of governance alignment.

  • Proactively assess LOB governance maturity and work with LOB data management team to implement practical enterprise data management standards and best practices (ex. data quality, metadata management, etc.).

  • Partner with Data Owners and Stewards to ensure dataset ownership and usage clarity.

  • Develop and facilitate the adoption, education, and training of data assets, analytics tools, and techniques (Data Literacy).

  • Collaborate with technology teams and Business Relationship Managers.

  • Work with Enterprise Data Office (EDO) specialists to deliver business value.


Qualifications


  • 5–8 years related experience in data management, data governance, analytics, or related discipline.

  • Experience supporting data and analytics initiatives within a Line of Business (LOB) preferred.

  • Understanding of Data Governance frameworks and tools, including: Data ownership and stewardship roles Data quality management principles and capabilities Data cataloging and metadata capabilities Data lifecycle and lineage concepts Enterprise data standards and policies.

  • Working knowledge of modern data ecosystems, such as data warehousing, cloud platforms and business intelligence tools.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority and drive alignment across competing priorities.

  • Strong relationship management skills.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Data, Technology, Business, or related fields required.


Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM IST
