Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in Enterprise Architecture, IT leadership, or related roles.
• Experience with IT/OT integration, cloud and AI initiatives, and architecture governance.
• Proven ability to translate business needs into enterprise roadmaps and standards.

As an Enterprise Architect for Digital Transformation, you will be a senior strategic leader responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the comprehensive architecture for business areas and central functions on the Digital Foundation of Siemens Energy. You will play a pivotal role in designing enterprise architectures that span both Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) environments, enabling secure, reliable, and high-performance connectivity between enterprise systems, industrial assets, IoT platforms, and cloud services. The core of your responsibilities will involve creating and managing the enterprise roadmap for the bsuiness area of responsibility, from evaluating the current state ('as-is') to defining the target state ('to-be') architecture.

• Define and communicate the target Infrastructure Architecture vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, digital transformation initiatives, and enterprise architecture principles.


• Analyze industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously evolve the enterprise architecture and create business value.


• Define and communicate the target Architecture vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, digital transformation initiatives, and enterprise architecture principles.


• Shape the enterprise strategy for Platforms (Applications, Infrastructure and AI)


• Define architecture requirements for applications and infrastructure services supporting Data, AI, Engineering, PLM, CRM, ERP, SCM, ALM, IoT, Digital Twin, and OT workloads.

• Establish enterprise-wide infrastructure architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and technology guardrails.


• Drive the modernization and simplification of applications and infrastructure platforms, reducing complexity, technical debt, and operational risk while improving scalability and performance.


• Lead architecture assessments and evaluate applications and/ or infrastructure solutions, balancing business requirements, operational resilience, security, performance, sustainability, and cost optimization.


• Define the target operating model for applications and/ or infrastructure services, enabling self-service, automation, standardization, and platform-based delivery.


• Ensure applications and infrastructure platforms are resilient, scalable, sustainable, and capable of supporting current and future business demands.




• 20% Collaboration & Leadership




• Contribute to technology portfolio management, lifecycle planning, investment prioritization, and vendor strategy decisions.


• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Solution Architects, Security Architects, Platform Teams, and IT Operations to ensure alignment between business requirements and applications and / or infrastructure capabilities.


• Mentor architects and technology leaders while promoting applications and infrastructure architecture best practices and knowledge sharing across the organization

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert


• TOGAF

Education

• 10+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Platform Architecture, or related IT leadership roles.


• Strong background in applications or infrastructure strategy, technology roadmaps, architecture governance, and operating model transformation.


• Demonstrated experience aligning applications or infrastructure investments with business objectives and enterprise architecture strategies.


• Experience leading applications or infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, AI enablement, or platform engineering initiatives.


• roven experience designing and governing large-scale enterprise applications, infrastructure or AI environments in global organizations.
