Job Summary
The Enterprise Architect (EA) is responsible for overseeing and maintaining an organization's IT architecture strategy and ensuring it aligns with business goals. This senior-level position bridges the gap between business strategy and technical implementation, while driving innovation and digital transformation initiatives.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain enterprise architecture frameworks and standards, models, and guiding principles to help define and govern the future state architecture, business processes, information systems and infrastructure
- Define and develop platform roadmaps and technology lifecycles, transformational initiatives, M&A technology due diligence and integration plans, and solution design and oversight across a wide and diverse portfolio of solutions
- Provide consultative services on projects focused on architecture compliance, development and implementation of strategic technological directives
- Lead vendor selection process and provide recommendations for investment in technology solutions, supported by appropriate ROI, total cost of ownership, and/or cost benefit analyses
- Lead innovation initiatives and proof of concept projects
- Develop and present business cases, for high-level initiatives, for approval, funding and prioritization
- Solution architect providing technical guidance and training others within capability scope
- Represent the EA organization for application, data, and infrastructure domain specific initiatives by managing, and at times leading these initiatives from an EA perspective
- Support architecting cloud-based applications, mobile applications and infrastructure, web services, middleware and databases needed to support the future state technology platform
- Ensures coordination and completion of design review based on formalized standards
- Ensure compliance between business strategies, enterprise transformation activities
What we expect of you
- Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of professional experience in Information Technology, OR 11 years of professional experience in Information Technology
- 5 years functioning as an Enterprise Architect, Enterprise Architecture certified or equivalent experience using industry standards such as TOGAF
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing architectural standards and road maps
- Experience being an evangelist for a bigger picture strategy, integrating the business and technological vision, connecting the dots across business needs, technologies, processes, and information
- Proven experience in large-complex technical efforts, maximizing current investment and optimizing process complexity
- Proven experience with future state architecture, taking business to the next level, creating competitive advantage to the business
- Proven experience in large, complex scale projects
- Solid presentation skills, ability to effectively influence
- Able to work autonomously and exhibit excellent judgment
- Strong technical leadership of development teams and vendors
- Possess a strong business and technical acumen to contribute to the strategic business plan and operational direction
- Proven track record of driving innovation initiatives
