Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum, NCERT guidelines and school academic plan.
  • Develop students' reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, communication and literary-analysis skills.
  • Teach prose, poetry, drama and other prescribed texts in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.
  • Encourage critical thinking, interpretation, discussion and confident expression.
  • Prepare students for school assessments and CBSE Board Examinations.
  • Provide remedial or enrichment support based on student needs.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and high standards of learning and behaviour.
  • Attend assemblies, staff meetings, departmental meetings and professional-development programmes.
  • Perform examination, invigilation, evaluation and result-related duties.
  • Participate in PTMs, school events, annual functions, competitions, trips and celebrations.
  • Support House activities, literary clubs, debates, elocution, creative writing, quizzes and other cocurricular programmes.
  • Undertake substitution classes, student supervision and class-teacher or mentoring responsibilities when assigned.
  • Maintain lesson plans, registers and required school documentation.

  • Guide students in structured, creative and analytical writing.
School Responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile
Essential
