Job summary

Blue Star in Mumbai seeks an Engineering Mechanical professional for Data Centre HVAC projects. You will verify designs, select equipment, and prepare drawings including heat load and pressure drop calculations, water side and electrical schemes.

You will guide CAD D’man, interact with consultants, and implement value engineering while coordinating with purchasing for timely material orders. Qualified candidates should have a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of relevant

Responsibilities

• Carry out engineering work for HVAC projects aligned to customer requirements.
• Design verification, equipment selection and drawing preparation.
• Verify heat load estimations and perform pressure drop calculations for air and water sides.
• Prepare water side and electrical schemes as part of project design.
• Guide CAD D’man to finalize designs and obtain approvals from consultants/architects.
• Coordinate with customers/consultants to capture technical requirements and approvals.
• Apply value engineering to reduce project costs, and coordinate with Purchases for timely material ordering.

Job Description

To carry out engineering work for HVAC projects in line with customer requirements including design verification, equipment selection and drawing preparation.
Must be thorough with the design verification which includes heat load estimation, pressure drop calculation for air side and water side, also preparation of water side scheme as well as electrical scheme
Have a good knowledge of various equipments used in the projects and selection of the equipments like chiller, pumps, AHU, cooling tower, heat recovery units, fans, ductless ventilation system, etc
Study of tender specification and ensure project is carried out as per the same
Guiding CAD D’man to prepare the final designs, discuss the same with consultants / architects and get final approvals
Submit and get approval of technical data sheets of equipment from consultants including approval on any deviations.
Interact with customers / consultant for understanding technical requirements and implement the same.
Apply value engineering to reducing cost of the project
Coordination with Purchase for timely material ordering
